Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking a Welder I for the 1st shift (Tue–Fri, 5:00 AM–3:00 PM) with pay at $30.10 per hour. The role requires interpreting blueprints, welding to spec, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals.

Responsibilities include safe operation of welding equipment, cross-training across products, and assisting with robotic welding tasks. Prior wiring and welding fundamentals are necessary, along with a high school diploma or certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or Certification.
• Internal written and physical weld test.
• Understanding of welding fundamentals.
• Basic welding experience and/or training.
• Basic knowledge of Mig Welding Equipment.
• Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the company/site safety rules.
• Perform safe and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job function.
• Flex across different products and areas to support business needs.
• Provide training to new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work.
• Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.
• Interpret and understand engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately execute welding tasks.
• Assist with robotic welder.
• Additional duties as assigned.
