Job summary

Progress Rail, a Caterpillar Company, Sherman, TX, is seeking a Welder for night shift work. You will perform GMAW and steel welding on railroad track panels, follow quality procedures, and use measuring devices accurately. A welding test is required.

Benefits start day one, night shift premium applies, and quarterly bonuses are available. Must be able to stand extended periods and lift 50 lbs, work indoors/outdoors, and maintain safety and precision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior welding experience and/or certification required.
• Must have experience with Mig welding.
• Must pass welding test.
• Must be able to stand in one place for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs repetitively as well as frequent twisting and bending to meet fast paced work demands.
• Work is performed inside/outside and applicant must be able to withstand all weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to use measuring devices accurately.
