Job summary

EquipmentShare in Missouri is hiring a Welder I at our Corporate Headquarters in Moberly to set up, operate, and support manual MIG/TIG welding stations and robotic welding cells. You will produce high-quality steel components while following safety protocols and using related equipment such as plasma cutters and hydraulic presses.

The role requires basic MIG welding skills, toolbox knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.
• 2+ years experience as a production worker or similar role in manufacturing or a machining-related degree is preferred.
• Basic understanding of machining center controls and applications (HAAS & Okuma) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MIG welding on steel components with deep penetration and clean beads.
• Set up and tack weld assemblies using fixtures and jigs.
• Remove burrs, slag, and spatter to ensure a smooth finished surface.
• Operate manual and semi-automatic cutting and pre-heating torches and plasma cutters for material prep.
• Operate drilling press with fixtures to locate drilled features accurately.
• Safely operate forklifts to move raw materials and weldments around the facility.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety protocols around heavy machinery.

We’re hiring a Welder I at our Corporate Headquarters in Moberly, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.

The Welder will set up, operate, and support manual MIG/TIG welding stations and robotic welding cells to produce high-quality steel components in a safe and efficient manner. Will use related equipment including manual plasma cutters, cutting torches, hydraulic presses, precision drills, and various hand tools for metal preparation and finishing. Will utilize impact and torque wrenches, clamping fixtures, and precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional integrity and exact torque requirements. Forklifts, jib, and overhead cranes used for material handling and the transport of heavy weldments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MIG welding on steel components, consistently achieving deep penetration and clean, professional beads.
• Set up and tack weld assemblies using fixtures and jigs.
• Remove burrs, slag, and spatter using manual grinding and sanding tools to ensure a high-quality finished surface.
• Operate manual and semi-automatic cutting and pre-heating torches, as well as manual plasma cutters to prep materials for production.
• Operate manual drilling press using fixtures to accurately locate drilled features.
• Safely operate forklifts to transport raw materials and completed weldments throughout the facility.
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols regarding heavy machinery and high-heat equipment.

Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of machining center controls and applications (i.e. HAAS & Okuma)
• Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education
  • At least 2+ years experience as a production worker or similar role in a manufacturing environment or technical degree in machining.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and work in a space that lacks climate control.
