Job Overview

The PCX Welder I is responsible for fabricating and repairing metal and other weldable materials, adhering to engineering and quality specifications, and following PCX safety standards.

A Day In The Life

1. Follow PCX safety guidelines and requirements.
2. Fabricate and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques and devices.
3. Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the correct welding process, with supervision.
4. Inspect completed welds for structural soundness.
5. Comply with all safety protocols in hazardous environments.
6. Complete apprenticeship or formal training in the area of specialty if required.
