Ravelin Defense Inc. in Green Bay, WI seeks a skilled welder to operate hand-welding equipment, read blueprints and orders, and ensure products meet customer design specifications.

You will identify non-conformances, document findings, and collaborate with teammates while maintaining clean tools and a safe work environment in an ISO 9000 framework.

Formación

• Must have a US citizen status.
• A technical degree/certificate in Welding or equivalent experience.
• Equivalent combination of 1-3 years of welding experience if no degree.
• Experience with TIG welding is desired but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Operate hand-welding equipment to join metal components and fill holes, indentations, or seams.
• Read work orders, blueprints, instructions, formulas, and processing charts to ensure welding matches design specs.
• Identify non-conformances during inspection and document them.

Descripción del empleo

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Operate hand-welding equipment to join metal components, or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints, instructions, formulas, and/or processing charts to ensure precise and accurate welding in agreement with the customer's design specifications
• Identify non-conformances during inspection of component parts and properly document such non-conformances.
• Communicate and problem solve with others in a reasonable and professional manner and work effectively in a team environment
• Maintain and keep welding equipment in good working order - free of debris and perform proper maintenance
• Maintain clean equipment, tools, and work area
• Follow established safety procedures and work safely all day
• Follow all relative ISO 9000 procedures
• Record an accurate log of job times and specifications for audit reports

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements for Education, Skillset, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Must be a US citizen
• A technical degree/certificate in Welding
• In lieu of a technical degree/certificate, an equivalent combination of 1-3 years of experience in welding of alloys could be substituted
• Experience with TIG welding is desired but not required

Skills & Abilities:

• Basic understanding of blueprints
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to read weld symbols and sizes
• Ability to follow directions and ask questions
