Job summary

Atlas NextWave in Wisconsin is seeking a hands-on supervisor to plan, coordinate, and oversee new construction and repair projects. You will interpret blueprints, manage resources, and guide crews to meet schedules and safety standards.

Responsibilities include training staff, recording hours, enforcing policies, and communicating with crew, boat representatives, and senior management. A background in steel fitting or shipyard work is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 65 pounds.
• Frequently perform physical activities such as climbing, kneeling, and crawling, including working in confined spaces and at elevated heights.
• Safely perform duties in confined or enclosed spaces, at heights, and under varying weather conditions.
• Operate hand and power tools while maintaining physically demanding positions for extended periods, including in outdoor and adverse weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person.
• Must be comfortable and capable of working at heights.
• Must be able to work in confined and enclosed spaces.
• Must be capable of working safely in all weather conditions.
• Working knowledge of construction materials, methods, and basic blueprint interpretation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in steel fitting or a related field.
• Previous shipyard experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
