Job summary

Great Basin Industrial is seeking a Welder/Fitter to join our fabrication team in Plymouth, UT. This full-time, hourly position requires welding and fitting components from drawings, setting up fabrication equipment, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will work in a fast-paced shop environment, perform multiple welding positions, and contribute to efficient project completion while abiding by PPE and safety guidelines. Experience and test results will determine level placement.

Qualifications

• Experience performing welding and fitting in a fabrication shop.
• Ability to pass applicable welding tests based on position level.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Ability to read tape measurements and perform basic shop math.
• Reliable, with strong work ethic and ability to work independently or on a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete shop fabrication projects by fitting, assembling, and welding components from drawings and instructions.
• Set up and operate welding/fabrication equipment and perform welding in multiple positions.
• Inspect fit-up and weld quality to meet standards.
• Assist with layout, part prep, and shop clean-up as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper PPE usage.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
