Main Duties & Responsibilities

SUMMARY

This occupation requires knowledge in basic welding skills, GTAW and GMAW. Perform such operations as helping fit welding assemblies and doing basic welding on assemblies. Able to read basic blueprints. This occupation requires performing manual tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including lifting, bending, and considerable time standing.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a welder, or a certificate from welding trade school or ROP type program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Able to read basic blueprints.
2. Assist Journeyman Welder fit and weld assemblies.
3. Weld assemblies and use fixtures to assemble parts.
4. Apply welds using the TIG & MIG method.
5. Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.
6. Must have own welding hood.
7. Operate various hand grinders.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience in assisting fabrication of parts to engineering drawings.
2. Fabricate parts with supervision.
3. Be willing to work at assigned jobs in or outside the welding field.

The pay range for this position is $21.15 - $39.38 per hour.

The schedule is the following: Monday - Thursday, 6AM - 4:30PM.
