Welder/Fitter - 2nd Shift

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Summary

This occupation requires knowledge of basic welding skills, including GTAW and GMAW. Perform operations such as fitting and welding assemblies, and reading basic blueprints. The role involves manual tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum two (2) years' experience as a welder, or a certificate from a welding trade school or ROP program.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints.
  • Assist Journeyman Welders in fitting and welding assemblies.
  • Weld assemblies and use fixtures for assembly.
  • Apply welds using TIG & MIG methods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
  • Own a personal welding hood.
  • Operate various hand grinders.
Qualifications
  • Experience assisting in fabrication of parts according to engineering drawings.
  • Ability to fabricate parts under supervision.
  • Willingness to work on assigned tasks within or outside the welding field.

The pay range for this position is $21.15 - $39.38 per hour.

The schedule is Monday - Thursday, 6AM - 4:30PM.
