Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:

1. Developing layout plans and sequencing operations.
2. Locating and marking bending and cutting lines on workpieces.
3. Setting up and operating fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses.
4. Hamming, chipping, and grinding workpieces to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
5. Preheating workpieces.
6. Positioning, aligning, fitting, and welding parts together.
7. Designing and constructing templates and fixtures.
8. Verifying workpiece conformance to specifications.
9. Fabricating and assembling sheet metal products.
10. Setting up and operating machine tools like radial drill presses, end mills, and edge planers.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-6 months of related experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Activity / Mode

Activities include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking, standing, lifting, reaching, pulling, fingering, grasping, talking, and hearing. Heavy work involves exerting up to 100 pounds of force frequently and up to 25 pounds constantly to move objects.
