Yellowstone Local is hiring a Welder/Fitter in Fernley, NV to fabricate structural steel components for utility and telecom projects. You will interpret blueprints, cut and weld using GMAW spray transfer, and ensure quality per AWS standards.

Qualifications

• Work on your feet for extended periods in a fast‑paced industrial setting

• Experience with FCAW welding applications
• Strong knowledge of structural layout and fabrication tools
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 Visual Acceptance Criteria
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Skilled in using layout tools and fabrication equipment
• Solid math skills including geometry and measurements
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in physically demanding shop conditions including heat, noise, and confined spaces
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
• Willingness to complete a written skills assessment and hands‑on welding test
