Job Description:

This role involves welding, fabrication, modification, maintenance, and repair of metal objects, fixtures, heavy vehicles/equipment, and industrial equipment related to construction. Responsibilities include designing, assembling, repairing, and maintaining metal structures and equipment, fabricating from blueprints, operating heavy machinery, and overseeing welding tasks. Work is performed under general supervision. Preference is given to candidates with welding and fabrication experience on heavy construction vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications:

Two (2) years of experience, education, or training in welding, metal fabrication, or related fields demonstrating knowledge of metallurgical science, blueprint reading, CNC machine operation, welding techniques, and joining methods.

Licensing/Certification Requirements:

  • Must obtain a State of Maine Class B CDL with air endorsements and pass the MaineDOT Welder Certification during probation.
