Job Description:

This is structured and craft work involving welding, fabrication, modification, maintenance, and repair of various metal objects, fixtures, heavy vehicles/equipment, and industrial-scale equipment related to construction. Responsibilities include designing, assembling, repairing, and maintaining metal structures and equipment, fabricating from blueprints and sketches, operating heavy machinery, and supervising welding activities. Work is performed under general supervision. Preference is given to candidates with welding/fabrication experience on heavy construction vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications:

Two (2) years of experience, education, or training in welding, metal fabrication, or related fields demonstrating knowledge of metallurgical science, blueprint reading, CNC machine operation, welding techniques, and joining methods.

Licensing/Certification Requirements:

Must obtain a Maine Class B CDL with air endorsements and pass the MaineDOT Welder Certification during probation.
