As a welder, you will be responsible forperforming MIG welding on carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum materials. The role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, ensuring that all welds meet specified standards.

Shift:M-Th 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 3years of welding experience or training.
• Able to read tape measures and blueprints. Able to properly operate welding equipment. Must be trained in applicable SOPs and work instructions.
• Familiarity with Welding machines, cutting torch, brush, pad, buffer, grinder, overhead crane, ratchet straps, rubber hammer, tape measure.
• Must have or achieve welding certification. Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Able to comprehend somewhat complex instructions. Able to effectively communicate information to coworkers. Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
• Requires regular attendance during scheduled shifts and overtime, and weekends as required.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Reference the blueprint and confer with the Lead person to determine job requirements.
• Gather necessary materials and perform layout per specifications.
• Set up the welding machine and adjust settings.
• Operate welding gun to weld steel, aluminum, copper, etc., pieces together.
• Visually examine welds for adherence to quality standards; reweld defective joints and remove surplus slag, flux, and spatter using a brush, pad, buffer, and/or grinder.
• Operate cutting torch and manual plasma cutter as needed.
• Apply the weld stencil and notify the Lead person or Inspector when the product is ready for inspection.
• Perform ongoing housekeeping duties to keep the work area clear of scrap and debris.
