Job summary

Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures is a Scott City, MO-based manufacturer seeking a Welder/Fabricator. The role focuses on welding, assembling, and fabricating metal components for electrical enclosures in a 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM).

Safety, quality, and teamwork are emphasized in a production environment. The ideal candidate has MIG and/or TIG welding experience and can read measurements, set up welding equipment, and complete documentation accurately.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years MIG and/or TIG welding experience with aluminum or stainless steel preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to weld multiple materials and thicknesses.
• Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment as required.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure and perform basic math and decimal-to-fraction conversions.
• Able to follow directions and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated; able to complete paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Weld various metals and thicknesses to meet production specifications
• Utilize standard fabrication tools, machinery, and equipment
• Prepare product for the next production step; inspect for cosmetic and functional defects
• Report any material or quality issues promptly
• Follow established SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Complete required documentation accurately
• Perform additional duties as assigned
