We are looking for talented Welders/Fabricators with advanced welding and fabrication skills to join our ADC Team. We are a small, family-run business that prides itself on fostering a safe and creative working environment, listening to employee ideas to improve our design, manufacturing, and customer-focused processes for rollover protective structures.
$20-25/HOUR - based on applicant's skill level.
Shift Hours/Premium
- First Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Second Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 P.M. to 2:30 A.M. (Includes $2.00 Shift Premium)
- Additional overtime as needed
General Responsibilities
- Proficient in GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) on mild steel
- Skilled in blueprint reading and weld symbols to comply with standards
- Lay out, align, fit, and weld fabricated steel components to assemble structural forms
- Accurately measure weld sizes with proper gauges
- Record production times to ensure labor and production tracking accuracy
- Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on weld machines
- Select and set up weld equipment
- Communicate with supervisors, quality management, engineering, and production teams to resolve fit-up issues, print errors, and inconsistencies
- Follow detailed instructions, work efficiently to meet deadlines
- Respond quickly to priority changes, work well under pressure, and maintain quality and safety standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of GMAW welding and fabrication experience
- Must pass AWS D1.1 qualification test and written weld test
- Skilled in finish grinding/polishing techniques
- Ability to perform basic math operations with units of measure
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally sit, climb, or balance
- Repetitive hand-eye coordination work required
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Welding degree preferred
- Must pass AWS D1.1 qualification test
