Job summary

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent manufacturing company in Spartanburg, SC, is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabrication Technician to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled welder with experience in TIG welding, stainless steel, and custom fabrication.

Pay is $25–$30 per hour with a $6 shift differential, and shifts run Monday–Thursday from 5:00 pm to 5:30 am. Applicants should be able to read blueprints, fabricate parts, and produce welds that meet spec.

Qualifications

• Experience with TIG welding on stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience in custom fabrication and building machinery or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate machinery and machine components.
• Use MIG and TIG welding techniques including thin-gauge stainless steel.
• Read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Fit, tack, fabricate, and complete final welds.
• Build custom machinery and equipment.
• Lay out weld processes and determine measurements, angles, and proportions.

Welder/Fabrication Technician

• Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 pm to 5:30 am
• Weld and fabricate machinery and machine components
• Use both MIG and TIG welding techniques, including thin-gauge stainless steel
• Read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Fit, tack, fabricate, and complete final welds
• Build custom machinery and equipment
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and angle finders
• Use hand and power tools, saws, and plasma cutters as needed
• Lay out weld processes and determine proper measurements, angles, and proportions
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all safety rules and procedures
• Work overtime when needed
