Job summary

Gedusa in Solon, Ohio, is seeking a Dynamic Welder to support our growth in a state-of-the-art facility.

You will fit and weld components using MIG, TIG, Flux Core and Stick welding, read blueprints, and ensure part-to-print accuracy through inspection.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior experience in related Welding Environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Minimum High School Education. Abilities must include reading, writing, and performing basic math computations.
• Pass Basic Metalworking Skills Assessment test.
• Physically capable of working on feet for 12 hours minimum duration with minimal break periods.
• Physically capable of lifting 50lbs without the support of Crane or Hoist.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld components and assemblies using MIG, TIG, Flux Core, Stick and spot-welding per prints.
• Use heat straightening to ensure weldment conforms to specifications.
• Inspect components with standard gauges to verify part-to-print accuracy.
• Maintain documentation and follow router/setup procedures.
• Keep work areas clean and maintain equipment according to schedule.
• Order supplies using Kanban or purchase requisition procedures.

State of the art manufacture looking for Dynamic Welder to support our businesses growth and objectives

We are looking for skilled welders who have experience fitting and welding components and assemblies utilizing MIG, TIG, Flux Core and Stick and spot-welding applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Fit and Weld components and assemblies, utilizing MIG, TIG, Flux Core, Stick Welding and spot-welding applications, as defined by Print Specifications.
• Use Heat Straighten techniques to ensure weldment conforms to print specifications.
• Inspection of components, utilizing standard gages (as required), to ensure “part-to-print” specifications are maintained. (Standard Gaging includes but is not limited to Scales (includes tapes), Squares, Levels, Calipers, Indicators, and Height Gages.)
• Ensure proper documentation is followed, and maintained if required, for all jobs run. This includes router procedures, setup procedures, tooling ordering procedures, etc.
• Practice good housekeeping for all areas surrounding W/C of responsibility as well as participating in keeping all other areas of the plant clean.
• Maintain equipment according to all applicable maintenance schedules, includes Personal Protective Gear.
• Order supplies and tools as required, utilizing Kanban Cards, Tooling Tags, or Purchase Order Requisition Procedures.

Machinery/Tools to Operate

• MIG Welder, TIG Welder, Flux Core Welder, Spot (Resistance) Welder, NC Band Saw, Arbor Press, applicable hand tools.
