Job summary

The County Materials Family of Companies manufactures and delivers concrete construction products, delivering to growing communities. Join County Prestress in Roberts, WI as a Welder/Fabricator to read blueprints, fabricate metal components, and perform MIG, TIG, and SMAW welding to assemble structures and equipment.

You will operate plasma cutters, grinders, cranes, and forklifts, ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and welding standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience using fabrication tools and heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of metal properties and welding safety.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to lift materials and perform physically demanding work.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
• AWS Certification (American Welding Society) preferred.
• Work is typically performed in an indoor fabrication/ shop.

Responsibilities

We’re hiring aWelder/ Fabricator to join County Prestress in Roberts, WI.

Job Summary:

As aWelder/Fabricator , you will read blueprints, fabricate metal components, and perform welding operations (MIG, TIG, SMAW/Stick) to assemble structures and equipment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of metals in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols

• Drill presses & grinders
• Inspect welds to ensure structural integrity and code compliance
• Work with a variety of metals (steel, stainless steel, copper, alloys)

• Follow all OSHA and workplace safety standards
