Milton J. Wood Fire Protection, Inc. is seeking an experienced Certified D1.1 Structural Welder/Fabricator for an immediate opportunity in Florida.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in layout, fitting, and welding fabricated, cast, and forging components to assemble structural forms. Responsibilities include selecting equipment and planning layouts, setting up welding with arc, MIG, plasma cutters, and ensuring quality through visual inspection.
We are currently seeking an experienced C ertified D1.1 Structural Welder/Fabricator for an immediate opportunity. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of experience inlays out, fitting, and welds fabricated, cast, and forging components to assemble structural forms.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment includes exposure to weather and Fabrication Processes. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
