L3Harris Technologies in Norfolk, VA is seeking a highly skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our Norfolk VA team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding processes, capable of working with aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.

This role requires the ability to read and interpret tight tolerance drawings and perform fixture and setup of parts using precision welding tables. In addition to welding, some assembly work will be required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required with 6 years of related experience or 2 years post-secondary with 2+ years experience.
• Minimum 5 years of welding experience or trade school certifications.
• Ability to pass a 3G plate weld test in all positions (Al, Steel, Stainless).
• Strong TIG and MIG welding proficiency and reading of technical drawings.

• Welding: Perform TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on various metals, including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
• Fabrication: Fabricate structures and machined components according to specifications.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret tight tolerance drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
• Fixturing and Setup: Use precision welding tables and fixturing to set up parts for welding.
• Assembly Work: Perform assembly tasks as needed in addition to welding duties.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve project goals.
• Quality Standards: Maintain general knowledge of workmanship to military standards.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia is $52,000- $97,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
