We are seeking a reliable individual for a position as a WELDER/FABRICATOR to join a dedicated and hard-working team in Wilton Campus ASIC Certified fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in welding, cutting, and fabricating structural steel components according to specifications. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Cut, fit, and weld steel components using FCAW, Mig and Stick welding techniques
• Fabricate structural steel components using various tools and machinery
• Perform layout work and ensure proper measurements and alignments
• Inspect welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and other equipment safely (where applicable)
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
• Experience operating fabrication equipment and hand tools
• 4+ years of welding/fabrication experience (structural steel preferred)
• NYSDOT and/or AWS certified preferred
• Welding certifications (AWS, or equivalent) are an asset
• Proficient in FCAW/Stick welding
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work overtime as necessary
• Proficient with reading welding symbols and blueprints
• Knowledge of industry safety standards and procedures
• OSHA 10 certificate preferred (Employer will provide training access if needed)
• Must pass a pre-hire drug screen (Drug Free Employer)
  
  

Compensation

Competitive wage commensurate with experience. Excellent benefit package including company paid health, dental and vision insurance with a company-funded retirement plan.

Salary Range $41,600 - $62,400

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
