Responsibilities

• Fabricate stainless steel tanks, ASME pressure vessels, piping systems and custom components from blueprints and drawings.
• Perform precision TIG and MIG welding, including purge welding for sanitary stainless steel piping.
• Measure, cut, fit, tack, form and assemble components to meet tolerances and specs.
• Read blueprints and weld symbols to ensure accurate fit-up and finished assemblies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow shop safety procedures.

We are seeking an experiencedFabricator / Welderfor adirect-hire opportunitywith a skilled manufacturing team specializing in custom stainless steel fabrication, pressure vessels, piping systems, and precision-welded components. The ideal candidate has strong TIG welding and stainless steel fabrication experience, can interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and understands the importance of quality, safety, and attention to detail in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate stainless steel tanks, ASME pressure vessels, piping systems, and custom metal components according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform precision TIG and MIG welding, including sanitary stainless steel pipe welding with purge techniques, as well as structural welding as required.
• Measure, cut, fit, tack, form, and assemble metal components to meet dimensional tolerances and project specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication specifications to ensure accurate fit-up and finished assemblies.
• Perform pipe fabrication, weld preparation, joint fit-up, and final welding while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Operate fabrication and shop equipment, including cutting tools, brakes, drill presses, and welding equipment.
• Inspect completed work for weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with applicable specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with welders, fabricators, pipefitters, and production team members to meet project deadlines and production goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following established shop safety procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in stainless steel fabrication and welding within a manufacturing, industrial, or custom fabrication environment.
• Strong TIG welding skills, with the ability to produce clean, consistent, high-quality welds.
• Experience with stainless steel pipe fabrication, fit-up, tack welding, and purge welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, measurements, and fabrication specifications.
• Knowledge of metal preparation, cutting, forming, fitting, and assembly processes.
• Familiarity with welding equipment, fabrication tools, and safe shop practices.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to producing quality work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience fabricating ASME pressure vessels or working with pressure-rated tanks and piping systems.
• Background in sanitary stainless steel equipment, process piping, or precision industrial fabrication.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication, pipefitting, or custom-built equipment.
• Familiarity with fabrication and welding requirements for regulated processing or industrial applications.
