Jimmy Jazz in Harrisburg, NC seeks a skilled welder/fabricator to maintain and fabricate steel fixtures and jigs used in our production systems. You will weld with stick, MIG, and oxy-acetylene and assist in repairs.
The role requires at least 2 years of outdoor fabrication experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to read sketches. Must obtain welding certification; benefits include medical/dental/vision coverage and PTO.
Description
The primary functions of this position are to maintain and fabricate new steel fixtures and jigs which are used in the operating systems of the facility. This is done using electric arc welding equipment, ox/acetylene torch and minor forming tools. Rod Welding (stick), Mig and Welding mild steels to ¾ inch. This position is part of our Maintenance Department.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet conditions, extreme heat, fumes and airborne particles, toxic and caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move throughout the facility including on uneven terrain. Duties also require moving items up to 75lbs.
