NETZSCH Pumps USA in Exton, PA is seeking a skilled Welder to read blueprints and weld components using a range of processes. You will interpret technical drawings, select appropriate equipment, and perform welds in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.

You will ensure weld quality, troubleshoot issues, and maintain tools. Collaboration with Germany/Brazil teams to adopt fabrication practices, and contribute to growing fabrication at the NPA.

Formación

• Experience as a welder with various welding processes.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Fluent in English, with clear written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and specs to plan welding layout and procedures.
• Select welding equipment and methods to meet requirements.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
• Align components using calipers and rulers; clamp pieces as needed.
• Weld components in multiple positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
• Ensure welds meet specifications and participate in quality inspections.
• Troubleshoot welding issues and implement solutions.
• Maintain welding equipment for proper operation.
• Assist with fabrications and department growth at NPA, contributing recommendations.
• Coordinate with factory teams in Germany or Brazil to align fabrication practices.

Job Description

• Understand and interpret blueprints, sketches and specifications to plan layout and determine correct welding procedures.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Ensure welds meet specifications and standards and participate in quality inspections
• Troubleshoot welding problems and identify solutions
• Maintain and ensure proper operation of welding equipment
• Assist with growing fabrication the department at NPA, making recommendations as necessary.
• Communicate with the factory in Germany or Brazil to gain knowledge on how they are setup to fabricate components in house.
• Assist with other duties and special projects, as assigned

Qualifications

• experience as a welder. Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
• COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills – the ability to use Microsoft Outlook and Word as well as basic websites or online portals.
• LANGUAGE & COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must be fluent in English, ability to effectively communicate in-person, in writing, and verbally. Must be able to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES: Must be competent and knowledgeable on the use of various machine and hand tools. Must be able to efficiently manage time and work independently with minimal supervision. Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurement, calculation and execution.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & TRAVEL: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee should understand that he/she may regularly be required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
