Job summary

Wendling Quarries, Inc. is seeking a Construction Services Technician to perform field maintenance across our sites, including seeding, mowing, spraying, fencing, and signage. The role includes cross-training with the Construction Services team and assisting the Director of Property Management.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years in trade work or related education. Field duties involve equipment operation and site upkeep at our Iowa/Illinois locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in trade work or equivalent education preferred.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform site and building maintenance using tractors, UTVs, hand tools, chainsaws and other equipment (approx. 70% of time).
• Support Construction Services team with projects and repairs, including lighting, plumbing fixtures, doors, and security devices (approx. 30% of time).

Job description

The Construction Services Technician is responsible for performing field maintenance at our sites including seeding, mowing, spraying, signage, fencing, etc. This position will also be required to become cross trained and help assist our Construction Services team throughout the year. Other duties of the position may include assisting the Director of Property Management.

• Perform site and building maintenance, which consists of operating tractors, UTV, hand tools, chainsaws, and other equipment. Projects would include mowing, spraying, seeding, fencing, signing, site cleanup, and other property maintenance. ( Approximately 70% of time is spent on this function)
• Cross train and assist the Construction Services team with construction projects, including assisting with repairs such as installing or replacing light fixtures and plumbing fixtures, wall repairs, doors and framework, locks and other security devices, light bulbs, etc. (Approximately 30% of time is spent on this function)
