Job summary

Wendling Quarries, Inc. in Iowa is seeking a versatile heavy equipment mechanic to service multiple makes and models.

You will repair equipment in our shop and travel to quarry locations as needed, joining a top maintenance team that values reliability and safety. The role requires understanding of basic mechanics, ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues, and a willingness to obtain a CDL Class A with company support.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic mechanics and working knowledge of large equipment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to obtain CDL Class A (company will help).

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to heavy construction equipment and fleet trucks.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.
• Learn to operate all types of construction equipment.
• General welding and fabrication skills a plus.

Looking for a multi-versed mechanic who enjoys working on multiple makes and models of heavy equipment. There is something new every day. Job Duties

• Making repairs to heavy construction equipment as well as our fleet of trucks
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues
• Ability to learn to operate all types of construction equipment
• General welding and fabrication skills a plus

Job Requirements

• Understanding of basic mechanics and working knowledge of large equipment

• Ability to get CDL- Class A (Wendling will help you get it)

Hours: Monday - Friday. On average works 50 to 55 (overtime available) hour weeks depending on the season.
