Job summary

Refrigeration Vessels & Systems (RVS), an EVAPCO company, seeks an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our Bryan, Texas manufacturing team. You will fabricate and weld carbon steel pressure vessels per approved procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints and weld symbols, laying out and finishing components, performing carbon arc gouging, oxy-fuel cutting, and documenting production activities.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
• Welding carbon steel pressure vessels per approved procedures.
• Pass a Pulsed MIG welding qualification test on carbon steel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and pass post-offer screenings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld pressure vessels and related equipment per standards.
• Lay out, fit up, tack, weld, and finish vessel components.
• Read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Perform carbon arc gouging and oxy-fuel cutting as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work with inspectors to ensure welds meet acceptance criteria.

Job description

Refrigeration Vessels & Systems (RVS), an EVAPCO company, is seeking experienced Welders/Fabricators to join our manufacturing team in Bryan, Texas.

RVS designs and builds high-quality pressure vessels and packaged systems used in industrial refrigeration, food processing, petrochemical, and other industrial applications. We are looking for skilled welders who take pride in producing quality work and want to be part of a stable, employee-owned company.

What You'll Do

As an ASME Welder/Fabricator, you will fabricate and weld pressure vessels and related equipment according to company quality standards and welding procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Weld carbon steel pressure vessels and components using approved welding procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, fabrication drawings, and work instructions.
• Lay out, fit up, tack, weld, and finish vessel components.
• Perform carbon arc gouging, oxy-fuel cutting, and other fabrication tasks.
• Verify material identification and maintain traceability throughout the fabrication process.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Work closely with inspectors and quality personnel to ensure welds meet acceptance standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of vessel fabrication and welding experience.
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
• Ability to pass a welding qualification test using Pulsed MIG (GMAW-P) on carbon steel in horizontal and vertical positions.
• Experience with vessel layout, carbon arc gouging, and oxy-fuel cutting.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to pass a post-offer physical assessment, drug screen, and background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience welding pipe in the 6G position using GTAW (TIG) and GMAW-P (Pulsed MIG).
• Experience producing X-ray quality welds.
• Ability to perform open-root welds from one side using GMAW-P.
• Experience fitting weldments while accounting for tolerances, shrinkage, and weld distortion.
• Experience welding stainless steel materials.
