A leading Oil and Gas field services provider and manufacturer has an opening for a Welder/Fabricator within their Brockway based Fabrication Shop.

Position Summary

As a Welder/Fabricator, you will work under the direction of the Weld Shop Supervisor to ensure high-quality fabrication and welding. Responsibilities include welding, cutting, grinding, and fitting to complete projects, building projects for internal and external customers with attention to detail, and exceeding customer demands on production, quality, workmanship, and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary training in welding and fabrication preferred; minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience, skilled in all welding processes and fabrication methods.
• Familiar with GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW processes, plasma, and oxy-acetylene cutting.
• Experience with carbon air arc preferred.
• Detail-oriented with pride in workmanship.
• Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Must obtain and maintain all mandatory training and certifications.
• May be required to operate a forklift and wheel loader.

Specific Duties

• Follow proper safety procedures and practices, working safely around all equipment.
• Fabricate steel assemblies to required tolerances from drawings or sketches, including layout and prep.
• Ensure high quality in all manufacturing stages, especially finished products.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure quality.
• Use materials and consumables efficiently to minimize waste.
• Seek continuous improvement.
• Track time and materials for job costing analysis.
• Maintain proper care, understanding, and maintenance of equipment.
• Keep the work area neat, safe, and organized.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• May perform duties of a Field Service Laborer if required.
