Job summary

Inland Rivers, Ports & Terminals, INC. is seeking a Welder to join our team to maintain, repair, and fabricate essential equipment used in port operations. You will read work orders, perform welding tasks, and contribute to safety and quality initiatives on the worksite.

The role requires at least 1 year of welding experience, a Driver's License, and a TWIC Card, with the ability to work at heights and extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of welding experience in an industrial environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Receive and execute instructions, prints, and work orders for welding and cutting jobs.
• Maintain, repair, and fabricate equipment and work area by cutting, burning, and welding metals.
• Clean and prepare surfaces to be maintained, repaired, or fabricated.
• Use burning/cutting equipment to dismantle assemblies and cut metals to size and shape.
• Develop, analyze, and review operational reports on equipment usage, maintenance, efficiency, and quality.
• Assist in developing operating policies to ensure efficient use of resources and safety.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and regulations.
