Title

Welder / Fabricator

Summary

The Macomb Group, a recognized leading distributor in the Midwest for Pipe, Valve, and Fittings, is looking for a full-time Welder fabricator to join our fire fab division at our facility in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

The Macomb Group differentiates itself by expanding operations to provide specialty services, a large inventory, energy-efficient solutions, and exceptional customer service. We seek a motivated, enthusiastic, self-driven individual to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

1. Work with a team to produce life safety systems.
2. Operate semi-automatic welding machines.
3. Crane and forklift operations.
4. MIG hand welding repairs.
5. Ensure quality assurance.
6. Organize products and materials.
7. Maintain welding station upkeep.
8. Multitask effectively while meeting deadlines.
9. Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Welding experience, MIG preferred.
3. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly; up to 50 lbs occasionally.
4. Ability to walk, stand, or lift throughout the shift.
5. Knowledge of pipe and fittings is a plus.
6. Industry experience is encouraged but not required; training will be provided.

Work Setting

Sterling Heights, Michigan

Monday - Friday, 9 am - 6 pm

OT on some Saturdays, 8 am - 12 pm
