Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is hiring for an entry-level welder in Valley, Nebraska. You’ll start with hands-on MIG welding, receive training, and help build steel structures used in infrastructure. No prior welding experience is required and we offer a supportive training program.

The 3rd shift runs Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. with a $2/hour shift differential in addition to base pay. Competitive starting pay and a comprehensive benefits package are provided on a path to

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • No prior welding experience required — training provided.
  • Basic familiarity with hand or power tools.
  • Interest in welding or fabrication work.

Responsibilities

  • MIG welding on structural steel components.
  • Reading basic blueprints and work instructions.
  • Inspecting welds and ensuring product quality.
  • Following safety procedures and reporting issues.
  • Working closely with team members to meet production goals.

Compensation

$23.90/hr. + $2/hr. shift differential

Available Shift

3rd shift, Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Tuesday - Friday, 8:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll help build the steel structures that make modern life possible — from traffic poles to cell towers to irrigation systems. We’ll train you on the tools, techniques, and safety standards that set Valmont apart.

Your Responsibilities Include
  • Performing MIG welding on structural steel components
  • Reading basic blueprints and work instructions
  • Inspecting welds and ensuring product quality
  • Following safety procedures and reporting issuesWorking closely with team members to meet production goals
