Adecco in East Granby, CT seeks skilled welders for 1st and 2nd shifts in a direct hire role. Pay ranges from $52,000 to $72,800 per year plus a 15% shift differential on the second shift and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401(k) with match.

Must have GTAW certification, AWS D17.1 and PWA 16, 3–5 years welding experience, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with standard bench tools.

Qualifications

• Read, interpret blueprints and operation sheets.
• Use standard bench tools and gauges; maintain logs and paperwork.
• Maintain neat workstation and promote good housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for welding; cuts, grinds and cleans metal.
• Read weld blueprints, engineered drawings, and follow work order requirements.
• Set up the welding machine for specific materials, thicknesses, and positions using fixtures and positioner.
• Dimensionally inspect welds and parts using calipers and gauges.
• Inspect all parts for proper assembly and cosmetic defects.
• Complete required compliance training and maintain safety practices.

1st, 2nd shift Welder | East Granby, CT | $52,000 - $72,800p/y + shift differential | Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401K with match

1st shift 7am - 3:30pm

2nd shift 3:30pm -12am + 15%shift differential

Our client, a leading manufacturer in East Granby, is seeking skilled 1st & 2nd shift Weldersfor adirect hireposition with competitive pay and excellent benefits. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic production environment and join a company committed to quality and innovation.

Your expertise:

• Certification in GTAW; AWS D17.1; PWA 16 (in any group material)
• 3-5 years of welding experience required
• Pass the welding certification tests for current materials used in the shop
• Read, interpret, and process blueprints and operation sheets
• Capable of using all standard bench tools and gauges required for setup, inspection, and welding of assemblies including calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and microscopes
• Complete required quarterly process control samples
• Complete logs, check sheets, job orders, and other paperwork for each job performed
• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices
• Able to successfully multitask in manufacturing cell work environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools

Your Challenge:

• Prepare materials for welding; cuts, grinds and cleans metal
• Read weld blueprints, engineered drawings, and follow work order requirements
• Set up the welding machine for specific materials, thicknesses, and positions using complicated weld fixtures and weld positioner (turntable)
• Dimensionally inspects welds and other characteristics of parts being welded using tools such as calipers, protractors, and gauges
• Inspects all parts for proper assembly and cosmetic defects
• Work outside department as required
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times
• Follow all safety guidelines and wears all Personal Protective Equipment
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
• Completes all required compliance training.
• Maintains knowledge of and adhere to company’s internal compliance policies and procedures. Take responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies

Pay Details:

$52,000.00 to $72,800.00 per year
