Job summary

Komatsu in Virginia, MN is hiring a Welder (union) to join our fabrication team. The role focuses on carbon arc gouging, SMAW/FCAW welding, print reading and precise fitting and layout to support state-of-the-art equipment.

We offer hourly wages of 28.80 to 37.40, a $2,000 sign-on, vacation, discounts, boot/tool reimbursement and solid career stability. This is a full-time, union-represented position at our Virginia, MN facility.

Qualifications

• Safe work practices are required and must be followed consistently.
• Perform varied welding and cutting applications including air arcing.
• Lay out and perform complex repairs with high accuracy and quality.
• Assess repair needs and develop repair processes.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Proficient at Carbon Arc Gouging
• Proficient with Oxy/Fuel Torch
• Understand Weld Symbols
• Proficient at Print Reading
• Proficient at Fitting/Layout
• Must have experience with a variety of SMAW and FCAW welding electrodes.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Primary focus on a safe work environment and employing safe work practices on a consistent basis.
• Perform a variety of welding and cutting applications (including air arcing).
• Lay out and perform complex repairs with a high level of accuracy and quality.
• Assess equipment repair needs and developing repair processes.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and perform minor repairs to most assigned tooling; wire feeders and welding machines.
• Work in a diverse team environment.
• Ability to use all varieties of precision measuring instruments.

Additional Information

Hiring Range

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $28-$37hr.The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
