Job summary

Hendrick Manufacturing in Carbondale, PA is seeking a welder to join our machining team under direct supervision. You will perform simple, routine welding tasks, weld components from standard materials, and use standard procedures, tools and equipment to join metal parts.

Qualifications include general knowledge of welding techniques, ability to read precision measuring tools, and blueprint reading. Physical requirements involve frequent bending and lifting up to 55 pounds (occasionally 75).

Under direct supervision, welds metal parts together.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Performs simple, routine, and repetitive welding tasks.
• Uses standard procedures, tools and equipment.
• Welds components and parts from standard materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leader or supervisor.

Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS:

General knowledge of welding techniques, tools, equipment, and blueprint reading is preferred. Ability to read precision measuring tools is required. Skills may be gained through practical experience and/or on-the-job training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequent climbing, bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 75 pounds) will be required. All welders must install 60 pounds spools of wire on own welding equipment, as necessary.
