Carrier’s manufacturing site in Charlotte NC is seeking a skilled Welder/Brazer II to join our team. This technical role focuses on end-to-end assembly of metal products, from initial layout to final weld, with expertise in Pulsed MIG, Short-arc MIG and Submerged Arc welding.

The position is a 1st shift onsite role and will include working weekends and overtime when required. A strong commitment to safety and quality, along with the ability to read blueprints and handle various brazing tasks, is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in manufacturing or heavy industrial welding (Pulsed MIG, Short-arc MIG, or SAW).
• Pass onsite training for Overhead Crane Operation.
• Pass onsite 6G certification (Weld Test).
• Physical ability to work in awkward positions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Weld and assemble metal products using Pulsed MIG, Short-arc MIG, and SAW.
• Perform layout and fit-up with fixtures and jigs for dimensional accuracy.
• Ensure weld integrity with strong penetration and smooth finish.
• Conduct brazing across materials and perform grinding as required.
• Maintain efficient production workflow while following safety procedures.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and report hazards.
