Job summary

ERMCO is seeking a production operator in Wisconsin to perform detailed operating instructions, startup and shutdown of equipment, and material handling including lifting 50+ lbs. Qualifications

Responsibilities

What you will do

Understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions for operating processes, equipment, and part production. Perform safe start-up, operation, tool changes, and shutdown of equipment. Repeatedly lift and move material weighing 50+ lbs. with or without assistance from lifting devices. Handle metal parts and materials, use hand and power tools, assemble and form silicon and amorphous cores, ensure parts conform to ERMCO standards, and follow all ERMCO safety policies and procedures.

Necessary Qualifications
  • Understand and follow instructions (spoken and written).
  • Use an iPad or other electronic communication devices
  • Work in a team environment with open communication and collaboration
  • Use of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurements
  • Demonstrate proper lifting techniques
  • Grasp, reach, and handle objects, tools, and materials
  • Use hand/power tools such as cordless drills, air ratchets, wrenches, pliers, and hammers
  • Operate overhead hoists and lift assist equipment
  • Must be able to lift/push 50+ lbs. and pull up to 50+ lbs
  • Frequent standing and walking
  • 20/40 vision is required with or without the use of corrective glasses and/or contact lens, as well as normal peripheral vision no less than 70, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Must comply with safety policies and procedures and any special department safety rules
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE including, but not limited to safety toe shoes, safety glasses, cut resistant gloves, and hearing protection
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 Years of consistent work history
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience
  • Use measuring devices such as tap measures, calipers, and micrometers (digital and manual)
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with standard computer systems and applications.
