Job summary

Invio Automation in Illinois is seeking a skilled Welder to read blueprints and fabricate components with close tolerances. The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and the ability to learn and advance skills in a fast-paced shop.

You will weld Aluminum, Stainless, Tool steels, and support machining and assembly as needed; prior MIG and TIG welding experience required; strong reading of metric. A High School diploma or GED is required for this position.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; welding experience required (min 3 years).
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand rough drafts (sketches).
  • Proficient MIG welding (GMAW) and TIG welding (TGAW).

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand blueprints, rough drafts (sketches).
  • Build and weld details and parts to close tolerances.
  • Weld Aluminum, Stainless, Tool steels, hot and cold rolled steels.
  • Brazing, silver solder, cutting and other gas welding skills.
  • Build jigs and fixtures for welding setups.
  • Capable of performing other shop duties as required (machining/assembly).
  • Other duties as assigned

DESCRIPTION

A Welder must be able to read and understand blueprints and build and weld details and parts. Our goal is not to meet expectations. Our goal is to exceed expectations and ensure our customers receive an exceptional product at Invio Automation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Must be reliable and work well with others.
  • Must be willing to learn and advance individual skills.
  • Follow instructions given by supervisor quickly and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • Provide basic hand tools and equipment needed to, build, weld, and inspect your work.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints, rough drafts (sketches).
  • Able to build and weld details and parts to close tolerances.
  • Be able to weld, Aluminum, Stainless, Tool steels, Hot and cold rolled steels.
  • Braze, silver solder, cutting & other Gas welding Skills Required.
  • Proficient Mig (GMAW), and Tig (TGAW)
  • Build Jigs and fixtures for welding setups.
  • Capable to perform other shop duties required by the company. (i.e.: machining and/or assembly)
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

High School diploma or GED equivalent. Welding, minimum 3 years experience.
