Job summary

Morgan Truck Body in Janesville, WI is seeking a Welder on 1st shift to join our production team. This role involves both welding and product assembly, with roughly 20% welding and 80% assembly to build our truck bodies. You will read blueprints, set up machines, and inspect welds to ensure quality.

A high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months welding experience or welding school is required. We offer a $4,000 sign-on bonus and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Must pass weld test to demonstrate skill.
• Proficient in welding mild steel and galvanneal materials.
• Minimum of 6 months welding experience or completion of welding school training.
• Solid grasp of basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills.
• Basic experience with hand tools to support welding tasks.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints for welding applications.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to weld metals with precision delivering exactly what customers and the company demand.
• Operate heavy equipment like saws to prepare materials for the build process.
• Set up machines and perform preventative maintenance to keep production running smoothly.
• Inspect every weld for defects and ensure top-tier quality.
• Learn and apply multiple welding methods and earn certificates that set you apart as a pro.
• Follow safety and quality checks to guarantee flawless results.
