Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Sanford, NC is seeking a Welder 3 to join our team on a 1st shift. You will weld using MIG, perform carbon air arc repairs, and inspect your work using weld gauges and other measuring tools.

The role requires at least one year of welding and carbon air arc experience, passes 2F/4F/2G weld tests, and may include lifting up to 35 lbs. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a pay range of $26.75 to $33.45 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of welding experience.
• At least one year of carbon air arc experience.
• Must be able to pass 2F fillet weld, 4F fillet weld (overhead) & 2G groove weld test.

Responsibilities

• Weld using various tools, including manual MIG welding.
• Repair defective welds using carbon air arc process and grinders.
• Inspect own work with weld gauges and other measuring tools.
• Move heavy components weighing more than 35 lbs using lifting devices.
• Follow procedures, standard work, routings, and blueprints for safe operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area as part of a team.
