We are hiring a second Shift MIG Welder—production for our Jackson, TN location. The position starts at $21.85/hour plus an additional $2.50 shift differential.

2nd Shift's hours are MONDAY - THURSDAY, 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, with opportunities for overtime pay.

Job Description

Are you tired of working weekends? Would a $1000 Sign-on Bonus be appealing? Join the MAT Industries Inc. team and work for a growing, air-conditioned manufacturing company. Located at 213 Industrial Dr., Jackson, TN 38301.

We have opening for 2nd SHIFT, running MONDAY - THURSDAY, 3:30 pm to 2:00 am. Overtime, if available, will be scheduled on Fridays. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, paid vacation, sick days, 8 paid holidays, and eligibility for a yearly bonus.

Responsibilities include:

• Welding in a fast-paced assembly environment.
• MIG welding of multiple attachments—12 gauge to .179" brackets and tubing.
• Passing ASME Certification, including a 6" vertical down weld with full penetration on .094" material with a .052" gap. Ensuring welds are defect-free, meet code, and are cosmetically acceptable.
• Following all safety regulations and promoting safety among co-workers.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints or welding process specifications.
• Performing gas metal arc welding, flux-cored arc welding.
• Assembling and MIG welding parts according to blueprints, drawings, and instructions.
• Conducting quality inspections and maintaining equipment.
• Performing repairs and modifications on production items.
• Assisting in training junior employees and inspecting their work.
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness of tasks and projects.
• Signing off on work orders and quality checks.
• Staying updated on technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
• Participating in developing a LEAN manufacturing culture.
• May operate various welding and non-welding equipment as needed.
