Job summary

Atlas Copco Group is seeking a Welder to support the assembly of industrial compressor packages. You will weld, fit pipes, fabricate components, and inspect welds to meet strict quality and dimensional standards. You will report to the Package Manufacturing Supervisor and work on the 2nd shift at our Voorheesville facility.

The role emphasizes hands-on welding, fabrication, and adherence to safety, quality, and process controls in a high‑precision manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Certification in Welding and at least one year of experience as a welder or equivalent years of work experience as a Welder.
• Experience with pipe fitting and fabrication in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Experience using MIG/TIG welding equipment, pipe fabrication tools, and common measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel components used in compressor package assembly.
• Fabricate and fit pipes, brackets, base assemblies, and other components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect finished welds and assemblies to ensure they meet quality, structural, and dimensional requirements.
• Use welding equipment, measuring devices, hand tools, and fabrication equipment to support daily production activities.

As a Welder, you play a vital role in our production process by performing high-quality welding and fabrication work that supports the assembly of industrial compressor packages. Your expertise in welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication helps ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and precision. You will

Job location

Your job location for this role will be at our advanced manufacturing facility in Voorheesville, United States (US) and requires working onsite. The schedule for this role is 2nd Shift, Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM.You will be part of a highly skilled team, benefiting from hands‑on collaboration and access to cutting‑edge machinery and technology.
