Job summary

Atlas Copco Comptec LLC in Voorheesville, NY seeks a dedicated Welder to perform TIG and MIG welding on carbon and stainless steel components for compressor package assembly. You will fabricate pipes, brackets, and base assemblies from engineering drawings, inspecting welds to meet strict quality and dimensional standards.

The role requires welding certification and at least one year of welding experience, with comfort reading shop drawings and using MIG/TIG equipment, pipe tools, and measuring

Job description

As a Welder, you play a vital role in our production process by performing high-quality welding and fabrication work that supports the assembly of industrial compressor packages. Your expertise in welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication helps ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and precision. By joining our team, you will contribute to our commitment to engineering excellence and customer satisfaction. You will report to the Package Manufacturing Supervisor.

Your role

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel components used in compressor package assembly.
• Fabricate and fit pipes, brackets, base assemblies, and other components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect finished welds and assemblies to ensure they meet quality, structural, and dimensional requirements.
• Use welding equipment, measuring devices, hand tools, and fabrication equipment to support daily production activities.

To succeed, you will need

• Certification in Welding and at least one year of experience as a welder or equivalent years of work experience as a Welder.
• Experience with pipe fitting and fabrication in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Experience using MIG/TIG welding equipment, pipe fabrication tools, and common measuring devices.

Job location

Your job location for this role will be at our advanced manufacturing facility in Voorheesville, United States (US) and requires working onsite. The schedule for this role is 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM-1:30 AM.You will be part of a highly skilled team, benefiting from hands-on collaboration and access to cutting-edge machinery and technology.
