2nd shift: 4:00 pm - 2:30 am, Monday - Thursday

Summary

Incumbent performs welding, brazing, and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment, observing safety regulations and engaging in UNARCO’s Total Quality Management philosophy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from supervisor or leadman.
• Fabricate parts by welding as required.
• Clean and prepare surfaces, set up, assemble, and weld parts.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Meet or exceed production standards.
• Work without close supervision.
• Work scheduled shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Pass company entry-level welding and tape tests.
• Understand verbal and written orders.
• Weld acceptable beads on roll form beams.
• Read blueprints and complete inventory tickets.
• Set up welding machines.
• Manual dexterity skills.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year or less experience in welding.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, handle, talk, reach, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
