Job summary

A manufacturing company is seeking a 2nd shift Welder in Urbana, Ohio. The successful candidate will perform MIG welding, manage welding tasks safely, and collaborate with the production team. Candidates should have at least one year of welding experience or a certified training program.

Welder (2nd shift)

Hours: Monday - Friday (2nd shift) 2:30pm to 10:30pm
Pay Rate: $22.99/hr
Location: Urbana, Ohio 43078
Experience: at least 1 year of Fabrication/Welder experience within a Manufacturing environment

Primary Activities/Duties:

• PerformMIG weldingto support the production schedule.
• Responsible forwelding base frames.
• Perform work in a safe manner.
• Meet/exceed all targets for quality and productivity.
• Cohesively work with peers.
• Participate in weekly Production System meetings.
• Continuously improve your own skills and competencies.
• Drive6Sactivities.
• All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Minimum of1 year of weldingexperience or completion of certified program related to welding training.
• Able to read blueprints is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements, Mental & Safety Requirements:

• Stand at the weld station throughout the work shift.
• Walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds to waist level; frequently lift 25–40 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above the shoulders.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to assignment changes easily, ability to multi-task.
• Wear safety-toed footwear, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and additional personal protective equipment where required including welding hood, protective clothing, etc.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $22.99 - $22.99 Per Hour
