Job summary

Lake Air Products is a fast-growing contract manufacturer serving medical, aerospace & defense, and industrial markets. We are hiring 2nd shift welders for our Roseville, MN location. If you have TIG/MIG experience and enjoy hands-on work, this could be a great position for you.

Essential duties include layout and welding, testing welded surfaces, creating tooling, reading blueprints, and ensuring specifications are met with various welding arcs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld (TIG welding preferred).
  • Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements.
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.
  • Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance.
  • Develops templates or tooling and other work aids to hold and align parts.
  • Determines required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
  • Examining finished products and spare parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.
  • Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using measuring instruments.
  • Welding metal using TIG, MIG, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other welding arcs.
