Job summary

Lake Air Products is seeking an experienced welder for 1st and 2nd shift at our Roseville, MN location. The role focuses on TIG, MIG, and Tack-welds with hands-on tasks and strict quality checks. You will lay out parts, verify weld quality, and assist in developing tooling to improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of TIG/MIG/Tack-weld experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to work in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Competitive pay and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld (TIG welding preferred).
• Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Excellent people skills and ability to partner with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts according to specifications using measuring tools.
• Observe tests on welded surfaces (hydrostatic, x-ray, dimension tolerance).
• Develop templates or tooling to hold and align parts.
• Determine equipment and welding methods based on metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Inspect finished products and compare with samples to ensure specifications are met.
• Wear PPE and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance
• Develops templates or tooling and other work aids to hold and align parts.
• Determines required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Examining finished products and spare parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.
• Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using measuring instruments
• welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs
