Job summary

Milacron in Mount Orab, Ohio is seeking a Welder to join our fabrication team. Responsibilities include preparing steel, cast iron, aluminum and stainless-steel parts for welding using arc, gas, or MIG processes and welding to print specifications.

  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress / emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare steel parts for arc, gas or mig welding.
  • Weld materials of limited thickness where finished weld is not stressed.
  • Recommend improvements for area products and processes.
  • Job report labor correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Practice good communication and interact professionally in the plant.
  • Produce quality work in the time frame that consistently meets or exceeds the expectation of Team Lead and Group Lead.
  • Adhere to the 5-S standards in the work area.
  • Communicate any discrepancies or errors on prints, materials list etc.
  • Interact with the teams on second and third shift to obtain positive results on productivity and quality.
  • Additional duties as specified by Assembly Lead. Produce and maintain consistent quality of work, dress, and grind parts after welding.
  • Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress, emergency situation, priority changes, or new assignments.
  • Work safely and in an environmentally responsible manner, practice good communications. Recommend improvements for area products and processes.
