Job summary

Ironform is seeking a Welder for the 2nd shift in Dublin, VA. The role involves MIG/TIG welding of steel and carbon, plus finishing work to meet customer drawings and specs.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, at least 6 months of GMAW experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and passing thickness and reading tests within 30 days of hire. Excellent growth and training opportunities available.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in weld techniques and able to read blueprints.

Job Summary:

Welder is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Mig and/or Tig welding of steel and carbon
  • Grinding using manual and power tools
  • Willingness to assist in other departments as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications (Required)

  • At least 18 years of age (required at all locations)
  • High School diploma or GED (required at all locations)
  • Six months of GMAW job and/or training
  • Proficient in weld techniques and able to read blueprints
  • Candidate must pass unlimited thickness test prior to employment offer. Visual acuity and blueprint reading test must be completed/pass within 30 days of date of hire

Job Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Include job specific experience necessary

Physical Requirements of the Job:

  • Frequent walking, standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and lifting for 8-12 hours per day
  • Able to work in non-climate-controlled and noisy environment
  • Frequent overhead reaching and reaching with both hands
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or maneuvering loads up to 50 lbs
  • Able to wear and tolerate Personal Protective Equipment (apparel and devices)
  • Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materials
  • Reliable to come to work every day and be on-time
  • Flexible work availability, including Overtime during the week and weekends
