Job summary

JARP Industries, Inc. is looking for an Entry Level or Experienced Welder/Fabricator to join the 2nd or 3rd shift on a full-time basis. The role involves setting up and tack welding diverse metals to create sub-assemblies for cylinders and swivels, following Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS).

The candidate will read shop routings, interpret prints, perform inspections, and maintain tools and fixtures. A strong background in flux core, sub-arc, and MIG welding is preferred, with relevant

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years associate degree in Welding with one or more years in a variety of welding techniques.
  • Must be able to pass the JARP Industries weld certification test.
  • Pass all weld certification tests within 2 years of hire; re-certification every 3 years.
  • Welding experience in flux core, sub-arc and MIG is required.
  • Must be able to read blueprint.
  • Manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Repair weld flaws/leakers from assembly.
  • Tack and weld parts per the appropriate weld procedure.
  • Clean and inspect all finished sub-assemblies.
  • Store finished sub-assemblies and unused parts.
  • Read and interpret shop routings and prints.
  • Set-up the job per the appropriate weld procedures and work instruction using fixtures and jigs.
  • Perform and obtain the first part piece inspection.
  • General maintenance – changing tips, liners, wire, gas, etc.
  • Return tools to proper locations after job is complete.

$21.00–$31.00/hour + $1.50/hour Shift Premium

Schedule
  • 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–12:00am
  • 3rd shift: Monday–Thursday, 8:00pm–6:00am
Position Summary

Under the direction of the Team Lead or Plant Management Team, the Welder will set up and tack weld a wide range of similar and dissimilar metals to make sub-assemblies for cylinders and swivels and set up sub arc and weld per Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Repair of weld flaws/leakers from assembly.
  • Tack and weld parts per the appropriate weld procedure.
  • Clean and inspect all finished sub-assemblies as trained.
  • Store finished sub-assemblies and un-used parts per proper procedures.
  • Read and interpret shop routings and prints.
  • Set-up the job per the appropriate weld procedures and work instruction using fixtures and jigs where applicable.
  • Perform and obtain the first part piece inspection.
  • General maintenance – changing tips, liners, wire, gas, etc.
  • When job is complete, return tools, fixtures, etc. to the proper locations.

Candidates may be asked to complete a weld test to verify your skills in welding processes, blueprint reading, material preparation, and quality control.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • (2) Two years associate degree in Welding with one or more years in a variety of welding techniques.
Licenses And Certifications
  • Must be able to pass the JARP Industries weld certification test.
  • Required to pass all weld certification tests within 2 years of hire. Each weld process is re-certified at 3-year intervals.
  • May be directed to perform other tasks due to a decrease in the workload, machine is down for maintenance or a critical need exists in another area.
Qualifications And Skills
  • Welding experience is a must in flux core, sub-arc and MIG.
  • Must be able to read blueprint.
  • Manufacturing experience.
